I want to book for you to do my makeup and/or hair, what happens first?

Contact me by email or phone or the contact form and after discussing your queries, request that you would like to go ahead with the booking and I will send you the Booking Form to complete. Once completed send back to the address supplied or through email, within 14 days.

How do I secure the Booking?

I will request a small deposit from you which will secure your wedding date in the diary. Deposit paid is taken off the final balance.

When should I have my trial?

Trials should take place approximately 4-6 weeks before the wedding. Trials are held on weekdays/weekday evenings. It is a good idea to have a morning appointment so that the natural light is better and then you are able to see how well the hair and makeup lasts through the day. Please note that due to the high level of wedding bookings during the weekend period, unfortunately I don't carry out trials on Saturdays or Sundays. Trials are held Monday-Friday during the day or evening appointments are available also.

 Trials are better to be done once the dress has been picked, any accessories, colour scheme is chosen and and other details that will have impact on your overall look

 

Do you come to my home/venue or do I have to come to you?

For the trial and wedding day, I will travel to wherever you will be. (House, Hotel etc) However if you prefer to save money on mileage cost, you are more than welcome to travel to me for your trial.

What happens at the trial?

Your trial for the bride alone lasts around 2 hours. We will discuss the details of your wedding - dress, accessories, flowers, theme etc. We will also discuss what make-up you would normally wear, (if any) and will discuss any ideas we both have and then complete your look until you are happy, making any changes until perfect for you.  If your bridesmaids, mother or any other guests would like a trial they can have theirs at the same time or book an additional appointment at a later date.

What happens on the wedding day?

I will arrive in plenty of time to set-up so ready to start the first person promptly, as discussed on the schedule beforehand.  The timings for hair and makeup on the morning will have been planned and I will always have everybody ready in good time to avoid lateness, stress and panic on the morning. Hair is normally done first on everybody and I work on bridesmaids, mums etc first so that the bride is as fresh as possible for the ceremony.

How can I pay?

Cheque or Online Bank Transfers for any payments.  Reciepts will be provided.

Terms and Conditions 

* Upon making a booking, send the booking form back to the supplied address or through email. The form must be sent within 14 days. If not sent, the wedding date cannot be held longer and is then available for other clients. 

*Rachael will then request the relevant deposit, this must be sent immediately by cheque or through the online bank account. Deposit will secure your wedding date and trial date and will be fully redeemable against the final balance. Once received, confirmation will be sent. Deposit must be sent within 14 days or the wedding date is available for other clients.

*All costs for trials and mileage expenses must be paid up front on the day of the trial, if not made beforehand.

*If an assistant is needed with me, there is no extra charge other than the assistants travelling costs which you will be informed of beforehand

*The final balance can be paid by cheque or through an online bank transfer. If paying by cheque, this must be sent 2 weeks before the wedding date. Reminders are sent via email two weeks before. 

*Bank Transfers must also be sent 2 weeks before the wedding date.  Failure to do so, will result in the loss of service and loss of deposit.

*Any cancellations made from the time of booking and 10 days prior to the wedding date will incur the loss of any deposit paid including trial costs and mileage.

*Cancellations (of any member of the bridal party) made 10 days or less before the wedding date will result in full balance not being refunded due to loss of other business.

*In the event of unforeseen circumstances I will make every effort to supply a replacement artist to carry out the service but cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond my control.
